Odin Peter Raboff, a local indigenous filmmaker, filming at the Earth Treasure Vase ceremony in Alaska

Gwitch’in filmmaker, Odin Peter Raboff, documenting the Earth Treasure Vase pilgrimage in Alaska

The documentary film will tell the story of the Earth Treasure Vase Global Healing Project, the origin and Buddhist lineage of the practice within the Tibetan and Sherpa cultures, and highlight many of the pilgrimages around the globe, illustrating the transformation and healing rising up through the places and people connected through the global Earth Treasure Vase (ETV) mandala.

The film will also be an invocation and meditation on Gaia, transmitting an experience of the practice itself and include the prayers and perspectives of the many indigenous wisdom traditions of the Earth that have participated in ETV ceremonies around the world. We will look deeply at several ETV locations, the specific needs for healing and protection called for in those regions and the outcome of planting an ETV there.

Featuring interviews with leading commentators, activists and participants, our intention is that the film inspire a new generation of sacred activists to turn prayers into action, become stewards of the Earth during this time of the Great Turning, and plant the seeds of a new story of life on Earth.
